Community pharmacy purchases VCCC building

Valley News

Pete Nguyen, owner of the Community Pharmacy in Valley Center and El Norte Pharmacy in Escondido, announced this week that he is closing the escrow on the old church building at Valley Center Community Church.

Since VCCC moved into their church property on Cole Grade Road, they now call the land “the old church property”.

Nguyen plans to move the pharmacy to the old church shrine.

The pharmacist described his thought process for converting the old church: “Originally, around the last semester of 2020, I was going to sell the pharmacy. The pharmacy became a very demanding business and I was ready to slow down and spend more time with my family. However, due to the tremendous community support for our little pharmacy, I don’t want Valley Center to lose this little gem. So I made a total of eighty.

Nguyen is considering “A small town pharmacy redesigned with expanded services to better meet the needs of ValleyCenterites. I also hope to bring small businesses and professionals of 1-10 people into the building, hopefully creating a “hub” where people can come for these services. I think it will be good for VC as he grows up.
