Food distributions across SWFL to help residents recover from Hurricane Ian

As Southwest Florida begins to recover from Hurricane Ian, here is a list of food distributions that will take place in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, DeSoto, Hendry and Glades County. This list will be updated as we receive more information.

LEE COUNTY

  • Food trucks in the Publix parking lot at Santa Barbara and Cape Coral Parkway are from miami cooking free hot meals.
  • Convoy of Hope will distribute food, water and hygiene kits to Faith Assembly of God at 7101 Bayshore Rd, North Fort Myers, FL 33917 on Tuesday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The Cape Coral Animal Hospital provides dog food, cat food and cat litter to anyone in need. The shelter is located at 325 SW 2nd Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33991 and open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Mount Hermon Church – 2856 Douglas Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916 – from 2:00 p.m.

Dissemination Points – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The locations now open are below:

  • Estero High School Ball Diamond Park, 9100 Williams Road, Estero
  • North Fort Myers Recreation Center, 2000 N. Recreation Park Way, North of Fort Myers
  • Fleamasters Fleamarket, 4135 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Fort Myers
  • Veterans Park Recreation Center, 55 Homestead Road S, Lehigh Acres

Catholic charities Diocese of Venice opened disaster response sites that will provide food, water and other essential supplies. They will also accept donations of goods and supplies.

  • Centro Juan Diego – 28360 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs, FL 34134 Monday through Friday 9am-1pm and 3pm-7pm, Saturday 9am-1pm
  • Elizabeth Kay Galeana Center – 4235 Michigan Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33916 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

COLLIER COUNTY

  • Complimentary packaged breakfast, lunch or dinner at Riverpark Leisure Center301 11th St N.
  • The Collier County Salvation Army (TSA) will be on site near Stan’s Idle Hour Seafood Restaurant221 Harbor Place, Goodland, Florida 34140. 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • The Salvation Army will provide Everglades City with hot meals beginning at 3:00 a.m. until they run out at Circle K on Collier Ave.

The Harry Chapin Fulfill Mobile Pantry will be active all week at these locations:

  • Fri. 10/7 – Boys and Girls Club, Naples, 7500 Davis Blvd – 10am – 11:30am
  • Fri 10/7: Local faith-based organizations and the Marco Island Police Department team up to serve meals at 51 Bald Eagle Dr from 3:30-6:00 p.m.

Hope Meals will be at East River Park EVERY DAY from 4 p.m. until they run out of hot meals.

CHARLOTTE COUNTY

  • Charlotte Sports Park – 2300 El Jobean Rd, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 – Open 8am-6pm
  • Tringali Park – 3460 N Access Rd, Englewood, FL 34224 – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The owner/operators of the local McDonald’s restaurant are serving thousands of free hot meals to residents of Southwest Florida from Wednesday, October 5 through Sunday, October 8. The McRig will be parked at McDonald’s located at 13418 S. McCall Road in Port Charlotte – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Winn Dixie included two mobile pharmacies to bolster relief efforts.

  • 4100 McCall Road in Englewood – currently offering curbside service and emergency prescription refills
  • 2000 Kings Highway in Port Charlotte – full service amenities including emergency refills, vaccines and COVID-19 testing

HENDRY COUNTY

  • Christ Central LaBelle – 813 E Hickpochee Ave, LaBelle, FL 33935 – Water and food will be distributed.

DESOTO COUNTY

  • St. Paul’s Church (New Church) – 1330 E Oak Street, Arcadia, FL 34266 Monday-Friday 9am-1pm and 3-7pm, Saturday 9am-1pm
