POLAND – Loretta DeBartolo, 96, went into the arms of her Savior on Monday morning, November 22, 2021, after a three-week battle with COVID-19.
Loretta Buccilli DeBartolo was born on September 2, 1925 in Youngstown, in the family home of Wilson Avenue, daughter of Andrew and Rose Nardi Buccilli.
Loretta graduated in 1944 from East High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended Youngstown College and worked at Ohio Edison.
She married the love of her life, Cosmo DeBartolo, on July 6, 1946, turning 75 that year. She was truly a helper to her husband, working alongside him both in his business, in his ministry in the church, and with the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International. She worked tirelessly alongside him in all avenues, while doing her own work in the church teaching Sunday School and holding many leadership positions. She was a loving mother, a caring sister, a wonderful cook and a great facilitator. Loretta was a longtime member of the Calvary Assembly of God in Boardman and a current member of Highway Tabernacle in Austintown.
Loretta will always be remembered for her beauty, both inside and out. She loved people so much and wanted to be an encouragement. She has touched so many lives with her love and compassion, spending endless hours counseling and praying with others. Then, more importantly, there were his personally made cards, filled with his exquisite calligraphic writing and uplifting words; it is his special talent that has blessed every person who received one.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Cosmo DeBartolo; his son, Cosmo Kenneth DeBartolo of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Karen Lyn (Bill) Fisher of Boardman; one grandson, Jordan Cosmo DeBartolo; one granddaughter, Tamara DeBartolo (Charles) Fator; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Brityn Fator; two step-grandsons, Greg Valley and Brian Valley (wife Lacey, granddaughter, Lynley); several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Jack (Patsy) DeBartolo Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona.
