The Choir of the United Church of Christ of St. John’s Choir will sing Gwyneth Walker’s “Dazzling as the Sun” at the 10:15 a.m. service on Feb. 27. All worshipers are asked to wear a mask inside all church buildings. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 211 S. Main St., North Wales, celebrates Sunday, February 27 with a Zoom service at 9:30 a.m. and in-person indoor services in the sanctuary with communion at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Contact the church office 215-699-4604 for the Zoom link. Grace Lutheran Church, 40 N. Main St., Hatfield, and Pastor Nancy M. Raabe will usher in the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday with services Wednesday, March 2 at noon and 7:30 p.m. Both include the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion. Midweek Lenten services on the next five Wednesdays are also at 7:30 p.m.; From your contemplative, they will echo the themes of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15 and seek a deeper understanding of sin, what it means to be lost, and how hope can be redefined. Harleysville Holy Spirit (Episcopal) Church, 2871 Barndt Road on the corner of Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford, is holding in-person communion services at 8am and 10.15am on Sundays, with Covid protocols requiring the wearing of mask. The church will also continue to live stream the 10:15 a.m. communion services on Sundays on the church website and Facebook page, Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysville. Lenten Compline services are provided on Zoom at 8 p.m. Thursday. Services are led by the Reverend Kathy Andonian, Rector, assisted by staff, parish members and choir. On Ash Wednesday, March 2, the church will offer communion services at noon and 7:30 p.m., with imposition of ashes available. The church will also be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for prayer.

Saint Mary’s Church, 40 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville, will sponsor Friday dinners during Lent beginning March 4 from 4-7 p.m., continuing the tradition of “sit-down” or “take-out” Lenten dinners at Saint Mary Hedge Hall. Menu items include a fried fish platter (2 pieces), meatless spaghetti with buttered bread and grilled cheese in addition to weekly crab specials on 3/4, 3/18 and 4/1 and salmon baked 3/11 and 3/25. Meals for adults include a choice of two sides – fries, coleslaw, green salad or meatless spaghetti, a drink and a homemade dessert. Meals for children (under 12) are also available, including meatless spaghetti with buttered bread, a small platter of fried fish (1 piece) or grilled cheese. Clearly leave your name and phone number to receive a reminder to confirm your order of Pierogi, Kielbasa, Nut Rolls and Paska for Easter. Orders are accepted until March 20. Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, will host a Cross+Gen “DIY Slow-in-a-Bag” event on February 27, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Hyson Hall. Please come pick up a variety of Lenten-themed activities for families and individuals to do at home, from making pretzels to making a “Pray, Fast, Give” chart. Everyone is welcome.
