Robert L. Bishop ‘Woodman’ | News, Sports, Jobs
Robert came into the gentle arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, after fighting a fierce battle with COVID-19.
He was the son of the late Clarence Bishop and the late Maxine Orth.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Beth (Moore); daughter, Bobbi Jo Bishop; stepchildren Nicholas Alexander and wife Ashley, Hannah Alexander, sister, Barbara Laub and husband Donald; his brother-in-law, Eugene Glick; and his beloved dog, Beethoven.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Peggy Glick.
Robert proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Earlier in life he was employed at Avtex Fibers and later retired from Advanced Fiberglass Concepts. Those who worked with Bob will remember that he never came to work without his Bible in his hands.
He was a member of the Lewistown Assembly of God Church.
He was a master carpenter, building his own log home and operating a sawmill. He loved God and read his Bible. When it came to his family, nothing could stand in his way. He would give the clothes from his back just to give someone hope and happiness.
When he entered this world, Robert didn’t know what he would do, who he would meet or where he would go, but one thing is certain, no matter who crossed his path, he would welcome him like an old friend. He gave the best hugs and advice and always made sure his family felt loved and safe. Robert leaves a void that nothing will ever fill. This is not a farewell; it’s later. We will miss you very much; from your infectious laughter to your memorable stories and your incredible cooking skills. We say “See you later,” and we love you. You are free.

A visitation will be held at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
