Van stolen from Hickory Hill Church

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – – Leaders at a church in Hickory Hill are asking for help in locating a stolen van in the church parking lot on Sunday night.

Police say he was taken from the Greater Community Temple Church of God and Christ.

Bishop Brandon Porter reached out to the community on social media, showing people an identical van so everyone knows what it looks like. There are inscriptions of the church and its photo on it.

“Help me if you see this van somewhere.” Mississippi, Arkansas, Southaven, Memphis, West Memphis, North Memphis, anywhere, ”said Bishop Porter. “And we’re doing it well in our own community because you know who that was right?” We do it well in our own community. You know who it was. So, I need your help. You’re going to take a van with my picture on it. You are walking around. Ha! Certainly not. You better hope the police catch you before I do.

Charles Reese, who is with the church, says the van is really needed.

“We use it for meal distributions,” he said. “Vaccination distributions… We also use it for our mask distributions. “

Sadly, church leaders say they haven’t had any serious leads, but they are hoping that will change as the van is hard to miss. They also believe the thieves smashed a window to get into the van.

“We’re going to have you. We’re going to have you! “Said Bishop Porter.” We implore you right now that you will be exposed and apprehended to the glory of God. “

If you see the van, please call the police or the church at 901-542-5255.
